Voting Machines, Input / Output Devices

When providing technical solutions for knowledge, contest, entertainment and lottery studio games, it is necessary to ensure reliable and very accurate processing of inputs and outputs. To achieve it, we use special voting machines and various types of input/output devices. These are tailor-made devices manufactured on the basis of our requirements and experience.

A Voting Machine

A voting machine is used to obtain answers from a bigger group of people, allowing to get their opinion or to verify their knowledge. Our voting machines have the option of two to four options (buttons) to answer. The voting machine has an information led indicating the voting activity and every button has a led confirming its pressing. Each voting machine measures the pressing time of each button to hundredths of a second. It is possible to assign it to a specific person and thus perform the check of accuracy and response speed of voters. Evaluation of responses in a numerical, percentage or graphic form is performed and displayed within one second from the end of the voting. Results can be displayed on various devices, such as a television output (on-air graphics), projection, LED walls, a LED display, switching different light elements etc.

Input Devices

Input devices can be used in any design. In most cases these are various buttons for contestants but also for a presenter, director or jurors. The input state is monitored thousand times per second. Based on these inputs, various actions can be performed, such as: on-air graphics, effect light changes, sound changes, response time measurement, evaluation, light switching etc. The great advantage of on-line input monitoring is that an operator, a presenter or members of the lottery commission can watch the status of individual contestant buttons and thus get a complete overview of the game course.

A Touch Screen as an Input Device

Input devices do not have to be only various buttons or switches. A very interesting option is also a touch screen. It offers a wide range of options and is easy to use for contestants. Examples are the Concentration game, adding letters into a sentence, creating words from a given set of letters - known from the entertainment programme Zostane to v rodine.

Output Devices

Output devices are used for switching any output and are controlled by a computer system. An output can be any device from signalling LEDs to power circuits (lights, motors, a fan, etc.).
